He previously served in the U S Air Force and later became a Volunteer Fireman for 30 years and then joined the Rescue Squad as an EMT for 15 more years.

Her ultimate joy though, was being with family and attending the many events her 14 grandchildren were involved in. Mt. Olive Township, Mr. Nicholas P. DeWitt, 91, passed peacefully on November 17, 2022, at his home surrounded by loved ones. He was born in Wervershoof, Netherlands to Catharina Duin and Frederick De Wit. Nicholas graduated from the Technical University in Delft, Netherlands, with a doctorate degree in Chemical Engineering.
